There are a lot of things that
A speed boat. A pedicure. A shower. Chocolate cake.
And she knows most men would get her anything she desired.
Which was part of the reason why she found them so boring. Where’s the challenge? She finds irony in the fact that men would sleep with her if she looked at them sideways, but she was considered the whore. She just shrugs and orders another drink at accusations like that.
“Ok-kay.” She stammers, her face a breeding ground for confusion.
“Thank you.”
Claire laughs, her eyebrows still drawn together, but not like she’s going to hit her with a handbag or anything.

When she kisses Claire the second time, it’s for purely selfish reasons.
Title: Hide and Go Seek
Pairing/Characters: Juliet/Kate
Rating: G
Word Count: 201
Prompt: Hide
Timeline: Takes place during Left Behind
Summary: Kate wonders whether or not she can trust this new-comer.
Kate is used to taking cover. Half of being on the run is knowing when to move and when to hide, when to stay put and wait it out and when to high tail it.
She tries to sleep now, shifting against the bamboo digging into her back like stripper poles and the rocky ground.
Kate glances over at the blonde woman beside her. Juliet’s eyes are shut tight, seeming to be slumbering peacefully, but she doesn’t put it past her to fake it.
Pondering back over the last day, she tries to piece things together, something that will add up to a definitive answer over whether to trust the stranger that’s cuffed like an umbilical cord to herself.
It was a little like hide-and-go-seek. Only being found this time meant things she couldn’t even grip in her mind long enough to name.
Finally allowing her head to land softly on Juliet’s shoulder (the non-dislocated one), she waits breathlessly for her to jerk away from her or stir awake. But she doesn’t and Kate wonders what that means.
Kate lets her eyes drift closed and the hollow trickle of rain to lull her to sleep. Because all mornings must break sometime.
